Coin level determination for coin operated games machine

A coin operated machine has a number of tubes (8-11) that are used as coin storage magazines. The filling condition of the magazine are determined by contact between bars (44-46) and the top coins. Each of the bars is produced with a series of slots that each are engaged by sprocket wheel (16-19). These are sandwiched between discs (20,21) with spring discs (24,25) applying a load. The sprocket wheels are rotated by a motor (15) via a gear system (13) until the ends of the bars engage the coins. Displacement is transmitted to rotate slotted discs (34) that interrupt optoelectrical sensors (40) to generate pulses that are counted.
