A heating rail for the heating of a thread in a texturing machine has a straight or curved track which is placed overhead with an outwards facing grooved guide for the thread and bridges at least partly a service gangway formed between a thread treatment section and a winding section or between a spool creel and a thread treatment section. The rail (1, 2) is supported at its ends by bearing pieces (5) having a common hinge axis (6) and it is capable of swivelling round the axis from a stable working position (1) to a maintenance position (1A).
