The camera comprises a main camera housing (2) from which protrudes a spherical or polyhedral additional housing part (4), which has at least one actuating lever (12) and blends into the main housing. The additional housing may be dished, or vaulted, and the spherical version may have at least one flat section. The extra housing part may have at least one releasable partial section and may contain a retainer for mechanical, electric, or electronic components, or accessories. It contains a photoflash and is directly or indirectly connected with the main housing.
