Compression foot mechanism for sheet stack rear section

The compression foot (2) is insertable onto and movable away from the rear section of a sheet stack in the work cycle of a sheet processing machine, and is fitted to a parallelogram movable rotatably by a work cycle following cam disc. The parallelogram comprises two lever links (5,6), swivelable about two frame-fixed swivel axes (4), with one link extending in or against the conveying direction (7), while the other one extends vertically downwards. Each link is driven by an associated, rotary cam disc (8,9). A horizontal lever (10) completes the parallelogram at the links free ends. A vertical compression foot lever is hinged to the lever.
