Electrical connector with plunger make-break actioner

The electric connector includes an actioning handle (1) in the form of a flat plate swinging on a fixed axis (19) connected to the connector. The plate has two scalloped out guide sections (23,25') one of which engages a spigot in the cover plate (7) and the other of which engages a spigot in the connector (29). Moving the actioner closes the cover plate drawing the male/female connector sections together and locking the cover plate in place.
