Fuel system having a crash sensor responsive to a given retardation value. On exceeding the given value a switch is made from the fuel with the higher risk of injury to the other fuel, whose supply to the combustion engine is uninterrupted. A response from the crash sensor causes the compressed natural gas supply to be interrupted.
