Brazed heat exchangers are mfd. from Al tubes, coated electrolytically or by spraying with Zn and flux in a single operation. The tubes are assembled with other components, either Zn-coated or uncoated, and the assembly is brazed together. Pref. the flux specified for the 'Nocolok' process is used. Also claimed is a heat exchanger consisting of extruded Al tubes (1) with corrugated fin strips (2) between adjacent tubes, and with at least one header (4) of non-braze-coated material and/or extruded material and/or an extruded section.
