Axle set for rail transport with four wheels and two saddle couplings

The rail vehicle axle set (10) has at least four wheels (29-32) and two saddle couplings (12,13), arranged in line in the direction of motion. The saddle couplings accept the front and rear ends (19,20) of two adjacent load containers (6). The axle set is split into front and rear halves (27,28) connected by at least one pivoting joint with at least one vertical pivot axis. The pivot axis allows the two load containers to pivot in a horizontal plane w.r.t. each other. Pref. the joint consists of a double link with two pivot axes (36,37).
