The plug-in profile is formed from the part of the chipless formed steel sheet profile acting as spray guard (1, 1a, 1b) where this adjoins the outer strip (6, 6a, 6b). The shoulder (23) bearing (32) of the guard comes in symmetrical triangular section viewed in the longitudinal direction, with a spherical upper surface and is adjoined opposite the top at the corners by the connecting part (25) of the guard flap (27). The plug-in profile is made up of the section (2b) outer strip (6b) enclosing the shoulder (23) plus part (35) used to support the connecting area (33) and bent the opposite way to the strip (6b). The guard flap and apron (17, 27, 36) should taper downwards and thin down (27, 28, 29) starting from the connecting area (13, 25, 33) without loss of bend resistance. Additional components include grubscrews (19) to hold the skirt in position and cotters (26) spread out along the support (1a) to prevent the apron slewing out sideways.
