The pin (1) for connecting two air conditioning shutters (10,11), which pivot together about the pin, comprises a metallic core (2). On the ends of this core are over moulded plastics connecting parts (3,4) having a square section which engages in the shutters. The metallic core has a circular section over most of its length but flattened fastening zones (7) at its ends for the connectors. The flattened zones have an elongated section of length and width which are respectively greater and smaller than the diameter of the circular section. The fitting of the plastics connecting parts over the spindle avoids gaps between the shutters and the spindle.
