The assembly includes a body having a hollow threaded mounting shank extending outwardly from it, and including a platform, an upwardly extending wall on the platform and defining a chamber, an infrared transmitter and an adjacent infrared receiver positioned within the chamber, a mounting board within the chamber, the transmitter and receiver attached to the mounting board, and electrical cable attached to the mounting board and extending through the threaded shank. A shroud extends about the transmitter and receiver and has a pair of adjacent openings in alignment with the transmitter and receiver. The wall includes an IR transparent window in alignment with the transmitter and receiver openings in the shroud, and a cap extends over the wall, chamber and window seated upon the platform. The cap has an opening in alignment with the window whereby IR signals from and to the IR transmitter and receiver pass through the cap opening and transparent window for detecting presence of a person adjacent to it. |
