PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin outstanding flame retardancy and impact strength retentivity when incorporated with flame-retardant, thus, suitable for flame-retarding applications, by using a specific conjugated diene polymer as a rubbery polymer constituting flexible component particles dispersed in the resin matrix. CONSTITUTION:First, a conjugated diene monomer (pref. 1,3-butadiene) is polymerized using as an initiator, an organolithium compound such as n-butyllithium to prepare an active lithium terminal-contg. polymer. Next, said polymer and a nitrogen-contg. compound having oxygen and/or sulfur atom(s) (pref. N,N- dimethyl-formamide) are allowed to react to prepare a conjugated diene polymer. Thence, this diene polymer, using as a rubbery polymer, is dissolved, for example, in styrene to carry out a bulke polymerization at 95-200 deg.C, thus obtaining the objective resin in which said rubbery polymer constituting flexible component particles is dispersed. |
