PURPOSE:To improve one or both of the carrier generating or the carrier transfer efficiencies at the inner part of a photosensitive layer contg. an azopigment by using the specified azopigment for the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. the azopigment is mounted on an electrically conductive substrate body, and said azopigment has a structure in which an org. residual group shown by formula I binds with an aromatic hydrocarbon ring group or a heterocyclic ring group, directly or through a binding group, and said groups may be substd. In formula I, R1 is hydrogen or halogen atom or phenylcarbamoyl group, etc. which may be substd., etc., R2 is hydrogen or halogen atom, etc. Thus, the practically high sensitivity and the stable potential characteristics at the time of iterative use of the titled body are obtd. |
