<p>A dielectric housing (24) has electrical terminals (34), and the housing is mounted on a surface (58) of the circuit board with the terminals establishing electrical connection to appropriate circuits on the board. The housing includes at least one mounting portion (36,68) projecting generally parallel to the board in proximity to the surface thereof. A generally U-shaped hold-down clip (42,74) has a bight (44,76) and a pair of legs (46,78). The legs depend along opposite sides or the mounting portion (36,68) of the housing, with feet (48,80) at of the legs surface mounted to the printed circuit board. A complementary interengaging retaining system (38,50,56,72,82,86,90) is provided between the bight portion (44,76) of the hold-down clip (42,74) and the mounting portion (46,78) of the housing for retaining the clip thereon.</p> |
