PURPOSE:To obtain testron 5alpha-reductase inhibitor containing extract of crude drug obtained from either one of Polygoni Multiflori Radix, Chaenomelis Fructus, Zanthoxylic Fructus and Thujae Orientalis Folium Et Rumulus and useful in remedy for android baldness and coarse hair disease. CONSTITUTION:An extract of crude drug from either one of Polygoni Multiflori radix obtained by drying lump root of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. of Polygonaceae, Chaenomelis Fructus obtained by transversely or longitudinally cutting ripe fruit of flowering quince of Rosaceae, Zanthoxyli Fructus obtained from seed of Zanthoxylum of Ructaceae and plant belonging to same genus as the Zanthoxylum and Thujae Orientalis Folium Et Rumulus obtained by drying branch having leaves of Thuja orientalis L. of Cupressaceae or leaves or leaves having young branch of Shrubby yew of Podocarpaceae is contained. The above-mentioned inhibitor is used for formulation of medicine, quasi-drug or cosmetics as form for internal or external use. The inhibitor suppress dihydrotestrone produced by reduction of testosterone which is main ingredient of androgen and capable of enhancing depilation and tallow secreting ability. |
