The device for picking up stacks of products from a support has a head (1) for picking up a stack (2) of products from a supporting platform (4), and is provided with presser elements (7, 8) for pressing on the stack (2). The presser elements (7,8) act in an upward region of the stack (2) and with a flexible lamina (3) that is adapted to fit between the stack (2) and the supporting platform (4). Additional presser elements (12) are supported by the pick-up head (1) to act on the stack (2), whereby to take the weight of the stack (2) off the supporting platform (4) and facilitate the insertion of the lamina (3) between the platform (4) and the stack (2) of products. <IMAGE>
