A ball joint device 1 for use with a ball stud having a spherical fitting part comprises a ball holder 2 with a through hole, a plurality of and preferably at least three ball abutting ribs 5 projecting inwardly from an inner surface of the ball holder 2, a ring-shaped projection 7 formed at a lower part of the ball holder 2 to extend along a periphery of the inner surface of the ball holder, a fitting ring j disposed on the projection 7, and a rotation preventing rib 6 projecting inwardly from the inner surface of the ball holder 2, the fitting ring j being elastically deformable and having a slit, and the rotation preventing rib 6 being placed in the slit of the fitting ring j to prevent the fitting ring j from moving on the projection 7, whereby in use a ball stud g having a spherical fitting part h can be reliably disposed between the fitting ring j and the ball abutting ribs 5. |
