PURPOSE: To surely bring about a reaction between a printing quality-improving liquid and a coloring material in an ink in an apparatus which carries out printing by discharging the ink and the printing-quality improving liquid making the coloring material in the ink insoluble or coagulate. CONSTITUTION: A fixed time later after a printing quality-improving liquid is discharged from a head 31, a Bk ink, a Y ink, an M ink and a C ink are respectively discharged from a head 30K, a head 30Y, a head 30M and a head 30C, for example, within 500ms. The printing quality-improving liquid can react with a coloring material before the improving ink penetrates into a material 106 to be printed, so that the coloring material can be surely turned insoluble or coagulated. |
