PURPOSE: To prevent surely ink from generating counter-flow by facilitating suitable control of an ink amount by a method wherein an ink passage continuing forward from on an inclined wall surface of a valve seat is displaced from a shaft core, and a clearance is formed between a ball valve and a rear end of a tip to secure the ink passage. CONSTITUTION: When a writing implement in its upward state i.e., in a state wherein a ball valve 4 abuts against a valve seat 2e to close an ink passage 3, is made downward in use, the ball valve 4 in the ink passage 3 is transferred in a valve chamber 2d by dead load to be separated from the valve seat 2e, and a part of the ball valve 4 abuts against a rear end of a tip 5. However, an inclined angle of an inclined wall surface of the valve seat 2e provided to a rear part in the valve chamber 2c is gradually varied, an ink passage 3 continuing forward from the inclined wall surface is displaced from a shaft core, and a clearance 2f is formed between the ball valve 4 and a rear end of the tip 5 in writing. Since the ink passage 3 is secured thereby, continuous writing can be carried out. |
