PURPOSE: To repeatedly display an mode M image in an arbitrary direction after freezing by an apparatus wherein data on tomogram obtd. in a real time are stored in a large capacity image storing means for a specified time and after freezing, the data on the tomogram are displayed on an image displaying means while the data on the tomogram are read out from the large capacity image storing means. CONSTITUTION: When a mode M image in a specified direction is picked up and displayed in real time, an output from a memory selecting circuit 58 is inputted into an image memory 61 for reconstruction of a circuit 60 for drawing the mode M image in the arbitrary direction and mode M image data in the specified direction stored in the first line memory 64 or the second line memory 65 are outputted into a space interpolation operating circuit 66 and displaying image data for the mode M image in the specified direction are formed in the space interpolation operation circuit 66. After freezing, the image data stored at least for several seconds are read out from the large capacity image memory 57 and are inputted into the circuit 60 for drawing the mode M image in the arbitrary direction and a circuit 56 for selecting image memory writing to reproduce the data on the tomogram. |
