PURPOSE: To automatically print a logo or pi character with a specified color by a device for printing characters and diagrams with multiple color having a function for designating an optional color design for the pi character or logo to be registered for information control at the time of registration or before registration or after registration. CONSTITUTION: When a logo is to be registered, a memory area for pattern data registration is firstly ensured in a CPU 2. Thereafter, a value of each parameter is registered in a pi character information control table and a pattern data is moved to the ensured area. When the logo is to be printed, a cell-check is performed so as to examine whether a printing pattern exceeds a printing area to be set or not. When the printing pattern exceeds the printing area, it is examined whether an automatic print area control is possible or not. When it is possible, a print start position is moved to a proper position. A current color is temporarily turned aside, a printing color of the logo is designated by a color information element, and the logo is printed by referring to the address of the pattern. |
