CONSTITUTION: In a method for producing a thermal recording material by providing a thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coupler on a support, an undercoat layer coating soln. containing at least an ionizing radiation curable compd. and foamed so as to be set to apparent specific gravity of 0.1-0.7 is applied to the support and irradiated with ionizing radiation to provide an undercoat layer between the support and the thermal recording layer. |
