CULTURE MEDIUM FOR HYDROPONIC CULTURE

PURPOSE: To obtain a culture medium for hydroponic culture, optimal for a solid culture medium and biodegradable by embedding in soil after the use without deteriorating functions of charcoal powder and polluting the environment by using a prescribed amount of a specific PVA resin as a binder for charcoal powder. CONSTITUTION: A completely saponified PVA resin having >=98mol% saponification degree in an amount of 2.5-9.5wt.% based on the total amount of charcoal powder is preferably used as a binder for the charcoal powder and a natural biodegradable powder such as peat-moss powder, wood flour or pulp powder is more preferably used in using the charcoal powder as a culture medium.
