PURPOSE: To provide a device and method for tension control in strip material winder in which the delivering quantity by change of the winding diameter of a strip material can be corrected to keep the tension of the strip material constant. CONSTITUTION: This device is applied to a winder for winding a strip material 1 delivered from a feed shaft 2 side driven by a motor 4 and wound on a winding shaft 14 similarly driven by a motor 15 in contact with a dancer roller 18, and it has a tension control circuit 30 for calculating the winding diameter of the strip material 1 wound on the feed shaft 2, and correcting the material feed speed from the feed shaft 2 side according to the calculated winding diameter. |
