PURPOSE: To obtain a good printing result without generating paper shift, in a printing method to thermal copy paper wherein thermal paper is superposed on plain paper, by additionally performing dummy printing for feeding the thermal paper and the plain paper so as not to generate relative shift. CONSTITUTION: Thermal copy paper 1 wherein thermal paper 1A is superposed on plain paper 1B is inserted in the paper insertion port of a thermal transfer printer and the heating elements of a thermal head are operated on the basis of a printing signal to generate heat. By this constitution, the thermal paper 1A is developed in color to print desired user's printing data U and the dummy printing data D of a vertical rule on the printable region of the thermal copy paper 1 up to the terminal part thereof and the hot-melt ink applied to the rear surface of the thermal paper 1A is melted to be transferred to the plain paper 1B to obtain a desired printing result. At this time, the friction force between the thermal paper 1A and the plain paper 1B is increased by the sticking accompanied by the dummy printing of the vertical rule to ensure feed of almost equal quantity. |
