<p>PURPOSE: To increase the reaction rate when the NOx and SOx are oxidized by an electric discharge in a waste gas, allowed to react with the moisture in the waste gas and converted to nitrous acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc., and to reduce the power consumption in the discharge. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a discharge device 1 including a waste gas passage and a discharge means for generating an electric discharge in the waste gas passage and a discharge power source 2 to supply the discharge power to the discharge device 1. Meanwhile, a scrubber device 3 connected to the downstream end of the waste gas passage of the discharge device 1 and including the waste gas passage and a means for spraying an absorbent to absorb NOx and SOx into the waste gas passage is installed. Further, a hot water feeder 6 for supplying moisture to the waste gas passage of the discharge device 1 through a feed pipe 7 and a spray nozzle 8 is furnished. Accordingly, the reaction to form HNO3 and H2 SO4 is promoted, and the time for the waste gas to pass through the discharge field is shortened.</p> |
