<p>PURPOSE: To provide a safety monitoring system for platform, which can reduce burden of the station staff, enhance the safety, and suppress the costs. CONSTITUTION: A pattern acknowledgement is executed on the basis of beam pattern information according to a transmitted beam of light, and pattern acknowledgement information is prepared, and eventual obstacle 13 having intruded into a hazardous area 15 in the very adjacency to any 11a of electric cars 11 when they are coming in or starting off, is sensed on the basis of the pattern acknowledgement information, and an appropriate alarm is issued to inform that a dangerous situation exists.</p> |
