PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester fiber cloth having excellent washing resistance and exhibiting antistatic property as well as water repellency by coating a polyester fiber cloth with an antistatic polymer and then with a water-repelling polymer. CONSTITUTION: A water-repelling polyester cloth keeping the water repellency of >=80 point and the frictional electrification voltage of <=1500V after 30 times of washing is produced by padding a cloth composed mainly of polyester fiber in a treating liquid composed of diglycidyl ether and a polycationic compound having polyethylene glycol group, subjecting the padded cloth to squeezing, intermediate drying and heat-treatment to coat the polyester fiber with an antistatic polymer having a water-solubility of <=20% when immersed in water for 24hr at 20 deg.C, soaping the cloth, padding in a treating liquid containing a water-repelling polymer composed of a reactive compound having perfluoroalkyl group and essentially free from antistatic agent and subjecting the padded cloth to squeezing, drying and heat-treatment to form a coating film on the fiber surface. |
