PURPOSE: To detect damaged sensors, and thereby enhance safety when detection for the neutral point of a rear wheel steering angle is duplicated. CONSTITUTION: In a steering control device equipped with a vehicle condition detection means, a steering angle control means, a rear wheel steering mechanism including an electric motor, and a steering angle detection means 21 detecting the neutral point of a rear wheel steering angle, the steering angle detection means is formed out of double systems 21a and 21b, and when the steering angle detection means functionally fails out of the steering angle detection means, failure detection means R2, R3, R4 and R5 outputting different signals are provided for the steering angle detection means and the steering angle control means, so that failure detection is thereby performed. |
