<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming ink good in continuous deliverability for a long time and good in image quality, abrasion resistance and durability irrespective of paper type, comprising water, a hydrophobic colorant, a polar organic solvent, a water-soluble polymer and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION: This ink essentially comprises (A) water, (B) a sparingly water- soluble or water-insoluble hydrophobic colorant (pref. liposoluble dye, disperse dye or solvent-soluble pigment), (C) a polar solvent soluble for the component B and lower in vapor pressure than water, (D) a water-soluble polymer, and (E) a surfactant. In this ink, the component B is dispersed particulate-fashion, and combination of the components D and E presents the identical, iconicity, or at least one kind of one party thereof being nonionic.</p> |
