Polychloroprene latex coagulation - by treating droplets with acid

Coagulation of aqs. emulsion, consisting of chloro prene polymer, anionic dispersant, and 0-0.1 wt.% hydroxyethylcellulose, comprises formation of 0.0762-0.178mm dia. droplets and mixing these at 25-80 degrees C with coagulant consisting of aqs. acid soln. Plant costs are low and product is relatively free from impurities detrimental to its properties.
