<p>PURPOSE: To improve the ozonization efficiency by using a cylindrical discharge electrode and forming an opening connecting a fluid moving region surrounded by the electrode and a discharge region formed outside the electrode. CONSTITUTION: A discharge electrodes 2 each consisting of a cylindrical electrode 4 are arranged in a pipe 1 for passing a fluid along the flow direction F of the fluid, and a wall-surface electrode 3 is furnished around the outer wall 9 of the pipe 1. Further, an opening 5 is formed in the cylindrical electrode 4 to connect a fluid moving region B surrounded by the discharge electrode 2 and a discharge region A formed between the discharge electrode 2 and the inner wall 8 of the pipe 1. A fluid such as air is supplied into the pipe 1, a high voltage is applied between the discharge electrode 2 consisting of the cylindrical electrode 4 and the wall-surface electrode 3 to generate ozone. Consequently, the ozone generated in the discharge region A is transferred to the region B through the opening 5, and the reconversion of the generated ozone to oxygen is prevented in the discharge region A.</p> |
