PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which can easily adjust a start position of image writing on a record medium. CONSTITUTION: An image forming device comprises a laser driver 4 as a conversion means for converting image information from an external device 1 into laser beam, a laser diode 12 as an irradiation means for jetting laser beam based on a signal from the laser driver 4, a photosensitive drum 9 as an image carrier body to be irradiated with the laser beam, and forms images on a record medium. A variable resistance 14 as a memory means stores a deviation of a start position of image writing on the record medium caused by assembly error in an image forming device body. A CPU 3 as an adjusting means adjusts the start position of image writing based on the deviation of the start position of image writing stored in the variable resistance 14. |
