PURPOSE: To provide an integral container storing water or cooked food or the like in a heat-insulated container, heating (cooling) it, and heat-retaining (cold-retaining) it as it is like a vacuum bottle. CONSTITUTION: An internal chamber 4 and an external chamber 5 are provided across the bottom section of a container 3 heat-insulated 1 like a vacuum bottle, a heat- insulated valve 8 is provided through a heat insulator between them, the internal and external chambers 4, 5 are made vacuum, and an operating fluid 12 is sealed to form heat pipe chambers 4, 5. When water or cooked food is put in this container, the valve 8 is automatically opened from the bottom section, the internal and external heat pipe chambers 4, 5 are heated, and heat is immediately transferred to the water or cooked food. When heating is stopped after cooking, the valve 8 is manually or automatically closed to prevent a heat leak through the vaporized operating liquid 12 slightly left in the heat pipe chambers 4, 5, and heat can be retained like a vacuum bottle. The valve 8 is opened or closed via the combination of a spring 7 and a permanent magnet, the combination of a magnetic support column or pedestal and the permanent magnet, or the combination of the permanent magnet and a shape memory alloy 11 for heating or heat retaining. These thermoelectric elements are likewise used as a heat source for cooling and cold retaining. |
