PURPOSE: To provide a game apparatus which enables acceleration by a player intentionally without impairing reality. CONSTITUTION: This game apparatus contains an input means 40 which lets a player perform a turn operation input simulating skiing, snowboarding or skate boarding by putting his foot thereon and a game computing section 100 to perform a computation for a game in which the player runs in a virtual game space based on the turn operation of the input means 40 and a specified program. In the game apparatus, a player conducts a turn operation of the input means viewing a game screen of a display 30 to play a game offering a running within the virtual game space. The game computing section 100 judges that a skating action is made when the turn operation of the input means 40 meets the requirement of the turn operation for skating preset and a player character existing within the virtual game space is accelerated. |
