Production machine for round tins or boxes where at least the body of the tin consists of an edge ring with an inserted base plate. The machine includes a turret section fitted with several prongs for the edge ring which may be moved from one processing station to another. The first prong is used to coil the edge rings from prefabricated strips and there is a device located in front of the first prong to coat the strips forming the edge ring with adhesive. The turret section (13) is fitted with prongs which are not driven (14, 15) and the coiling prong (20) for the edge rings is located separate from the turret section (13) together with its drive unit on the body of the machine (10).
