<p>PURPOSE: To provide a cuff for a hemodynamometer which enables highly accurate judgment of the maximum and the minimum blood pressures. CONSTITUTION: A cuff 10 is constituted of a hard curved plate 10a deformable under bending, an external cloth 10b wrapping the outer circumference of the curved plate 10a, an internal cloth 10c sewn on the external cloth 10b wrapping the inner circumference of the curved plate 10a, an air bag 10d provided on the internal surface side of the internal cloth 10c and a fixing fastener 10e fastened on the outer circumference of the external cloth 10b. The air bag 10d is made up of a transparent bag body 10g into which a reinforced fiber 10f is incorporated in a lattice. An optical distance sensor 12 is made up of a photo coupler 12a fastened on the external surface of the bag body 10g and a reflecting plate 12b fastened on the internal surface of the bag body 10g facing the coupler 12a. The coupler 12a has a light emitting diode and a phototransistor and light emitted from the diode is reflected by the reflecting plate 12b and admitted into the transistor. Thus, the size of the output of the transistor varies according to a distance between the photo coupler 12a and the reflecting plate 12b.</p> |
