<p>PURPOSE: To establish a detoxifying method for hydrogen phosphide gas using a sodium hypochlite aqueous solution, whereby hydrogen phosphide gas used in a smoking process in a wide concentration range from a high concentration to low is processed quickly and effectively by mixing carbon dioxide gas with the hydrogen phosphide gas in a specific mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen phosphide gas and carbon dioxide gas are supplied from their containers 13, 14 and mixed together by a mixer 3 while their rates of flow are controlled into the specified values by mass flow controllers 1, 2. The obtained mixture gas is put in a smoking chamber 4 while air is sucked from an air inlet 6, followed by agitation by a fan 5, and the resultant gas given a certain concentration is continuously fed to an absorption tower 7 which is filled with a filler, and thereover a sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution regulated into a specified concentration is sprinkled from a nozzle 11. The gases at the inlet gas sampling hole 15 and outlet gas sampling hole 16 furnished in the absorption tower are sampled, and 0.1-60vol% carbon dioxide gas is mixed with the hydrogen phosphide gas which heightens the rate of detoxification of the hydrogen phosphide.</p> |
