PURPOSE: To facilitate the use of a toilet stool even in the dark by forming a toilet lighting system out of a human body sensor fitted to the front of a toilet bowl for detecting the presence of a user and a lighting apparatus for lighting the prescribed position of the toilet body. CONSTITUTION: An operation panel 9, a human body sensor 10 and a lighting sensor 11 for detecting brightness in a washroom are laid on the upper surface of a wing section 5 of a hot water washing device 4. Also, the front of the section 5 is fitted with a foot lighting apparatus 12 for illuminating a floor in the front of a toilet bowl 2. At the time of using a toilet stool in the dark, the washroom is dark and the lighting sensor 11 is ready to be turned on. In this state, when a user enters the washroom and comes to a position in the vicinity of the front of the toilet bowl 2, the sensor 10 detects his/her presence. As a result, the sensors 11 and 10 are turned on, and the control circuit of the device 4 turns on the lighting apparatus 12, thereby allowing the accurate position and shape of the toilet bowl 2 to be identified. |
