Double pole switch operated by trigger e.g. for control of hand-held hammer drill

The switch has two fixed contact assemblies (18,19) and two moving contact assemblies (13,14). The moving contact assemblies are conductive levers biased by leaf springs. The trigger (5) operates on a cylindrical connecting rod (4). The inner end of the rod operates on a sliding element (3). When the trigger is operated, the current flows through contacts (6) on the slide to copper carriers (8) and via the levers (13) to the fixed contacts. The springs provide additional pressure.
