The PIP(Picture In Picture) video processing apparatus of the HDTV comprises: a PIP video extracting means for sequentially low-pass filtering a PIP video converted to digital into a horizontal and vertical direction, a decimation means for decimating the PIP video by sampling the even field and odd field of the low-pass filtered PIP video with a constant interval; and a memory for storing the PIP video outputted from the PIP video extracting means according to a record clock, decoding it according to a reading clock, and outputting the PIP video signal through a digital/analog converting means. |
