FIELD: insulating sleeves for pipelines possessing electrical conductance which may be protected against corrosion through circulation of protective current. SUBSTANCE: sleeve has housing which consists of two parts embracing the pipeline; sleeve parts are electrically insulated from pipeline; housing is provided with hole for receiving cutting tool for cutting the pipeline into two sections which are not in contact with each other. Housing is also provided with devices for hermetically closing the hole. EFFECT: effective circuit of cathodic corrosion protection.
