FIELD: plastic metal working; may be used in mechanical engineering, particularly, in manufacture of members of hydraulic and gas systems. SUBSTANCE: method includes, first, reduction of thickness of pipe wall in zone of weld, and then, end part of pipe is expanded. Thickness of pipe wall in zone of weld is reduced over the entire length of deformed part with deepening, and expansion is attained by rolling pipe by compressions of billet wall. Besides, billet wall in zone of weld is deepened to size of finished article. Pipe wall in zone of weld is deepened, both, from external and internal surfaces of pipe. Pipe wall is deepened in zone of weld by mechanical working with removal of chips. During rolling of pipe, billet wall is compressed on nondeepened parts only. EFFECT: higher possibility for deformation (degree of pipe expansion) and provision of obtaining parts of equal in thickness. |
