摘要 FIELD: waste water purification. SUBSTANCE: initial waste liquid is treated with excess of active sludge as coagulant and resultant mixture is settled. Preliminarily, active sludge is subjected to physico-chemical treatment thereby removing from surface layer fibrillar hoods formed of extracellular biopolymers. This stimulates cells to release bioflocculants and increases biocoagulant concentration in waste water. Prior to be settled, waste water-active sludge mixture is vigorously stirred to create conditions for adhesion of disperse colloid and finely divided particles and formation in waste liquid of well-settling out big flocculi of pollutant. Active sludge employed as coagulant should be in endogenous metabolism phase during the process of aerobic waste water biopurification. This phase is provided by means of changing microorganism culturing regime in biopurification from conditions when microorganisms have excess of nutrient substrate to those conditions when they starve.
