FIELD: medicine; surgery. SUBSTANCE: method involves dissection of the skin and fascia in the upper third of the shin. The calf bone is reached through the space between the fluke-shaped muscle and the long calf muscle. The periosteum is dissected below the level of the neck of the calf bone neck along the boundary between the points of attachment of the aforesaid muscles, then the tumor of the calf bone head is reached by disengaging it in the proximal direction. EFFECT: simpler method; shorter surgery time.
