FIELD: clinical diagnostics, experimental pharmacology, normal and pathophysiology when studying mechanical properties of vascular wall, disturbances of haemodynamics with various vascular diseases coupled to them. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of distance from point of application of effort to support, application and measurement of lateral effort and sagging caused by it and determination of tension effort by values of measured quantities. Lateral effort is applied many times and in sequence or, at least, twice to center of section of analyzed structure which ends are rigidly fixed to prevent possible displacement relative to natural attachment. Quantity of sagging from initial position is measured and value of tension efforts is found by formula, where F, dare correspondingly values of lateral effort and quantity of sagging of linear elastic structure with first and second action; X is half-length of section between points of attachment of elastic structure.
