The bulkhead light has a base (1) and a retaining ring (2) for a diffuser (3). Clip-in covers (50) hide the recesses (30) in the edge of the retaining ring. The fixing tabs (20) for the diffuser fit in the recesses in the retaining ring. The diffuser is bayonet mounted, with a peripheral lip that locks in place on the base with a part turn. The covers (5) are integral with the base, and are can be folded over to cover the diffuser fixing tabs. The covers are formed with a thinner region during moulding to provide a hinge.
