A decanter device, including float bodies (7) for buoyantly supporting the decanter device in a liquid basin (1). The decanter has a receiver (6) with inlet openings (8c) for receiving flow of liquid (12) from the basin. The receiver has valve members (8b) each of which has a frist position for closing the inlet openings, and a second position for opening the same. Each inlet opening (8c) is formed in a substantially plane portion (11) of the wall of the receiver (6), which portion defines, at the interior of the inlet opening, a flow guide for said flow of liquid (12) extending substantially radially, relative to the inlet opening (8c). The valve member has the shape of a ball (8b) movably arranged within a valve housing (8a), which has flow connection with the inlet opening (8c) and also with the interior of the receiver (6). |
