Prodn. of methanol as power source in power station

摘要

Process for prodn. of methanol comprises: (a) preparing a stoichiometric synthesis gas for methanol synthesis; and (b) recovering power by combusting and/or utilising a fuel (power station). A gas fraction consisting of H2, CO and CO2 is used as the gas and/or fuel for steps (a) and (b). The novelty is that the amt. of gasifying gas fraction (2) and the residual gas streams (8, 10) from process (a) are added to the process (b), so that additional fuel feed is unnecessary. The remainder of the gasifying gas fraction (1') is added to process (a).
