An electrical socket contact for connecting a component pin 8 to a printed circuit board 11 is made of resilient conductive material, e.g. beryllium copper coated with lead-tin alloy, and comprises four arms 10b, extending in parallel directions from a common point, and being bent to form shoulders 20. Wider portions 19 of the arms have tapering end portions 10a which are bent down towards each other and the common point. The contact is soldered at 13 to a conductor 12 on board 11, through an aperture in which arms 10b project. |
